Why we exist

A load should never take anyone by surprise.

The most dramatic risk in lifting isn't the load falling itself — it's the worker on the ground not knowing it's passing overhead. The crane operator sees everything from above. Below, coactivity, noise, dust masks and other machines make that signal invisible.

Vigigrue makes that information tangible, immediate, shared: a magnetic beacon on the hook block, one wristband per worker, a safety bubble that follows the load.

On the ground

The hook block gets equipped, the load becomes visible.
On every passover, the ground crew is warned.

The crane operator gets ready. The hook block receives the magnetic beacon, secured by a small lanyard. Ground workers wear their wristbands, handed out by the supervisor in the morning.

With every load movement — translation, slewing, lowering — the safety bubble moves with it. When the load passes over a worker, the wristband vibrates, the beacon flashes. Information flows without a signaler, without radio, without depending on one person's vigilance.

Where others don't go

Vigigrue adapts to your crane, not the other way around.

Follows the load in motion

The beacon is on the hook block, not on the cab. The safety bubble follows the load through every translation, slewing and lowering.

Our difference

Any crane, any man basket

Magnetic mount in 30 seconds on any hook block, rigging tool, man basket, mobile crane hook or telehandler. One hardware reference for all your lifting equipment.

No crane modification

No drilling, no wiring, no intervention. The beacon goes on in the morning, comes off at night. Compatible with any fleet, rented or owned.

Frequently asked questions

What crane operators and supervisors ask us.

Does the beacon really follow the moving load?
Yes — and that's the whole point. We don't fix the beacon on the crane; we snap it magnetically directly onto the hook block or rigging tool. The safety bubble (1 to 40 m) therefore moves with the load. Whatever the crane operator does (translation, slewing, lowering), workers are warned the moment the load passes over them. A small lanyard or strap secures the beacon in case of impact.
Is it compatible with every type of crane?
Yes. The beacon is fully standalone — internal USB-rechargeable battery, magnetic mount. It installs on any lifting equipment: tower cranes, mobile cranes, overhead cranes, hoists, telehandlers. No wiring, no drilling, no machine modification. You can also use it on a man basket (under the basket) to protect lowering operations.
What if there are multiple cranes on the same jobsite?
Each beacon can be set up with a different vibration pattern on the wristbands. When you have 2 or 3 cranes operating in the same area, your workers immediately know which one is approaching — useful directional information for deciding where to take cover. One wristband per worker is enough, no matter how many beacons are on the jobsite.
Does it work on jobsites with no network (nuclear, tunnels, remote sites)?
Yes. Vigigrue runs fully standalone, with no Wi-Fi or 4G. Internet is only required for the initial setup — after that, the system is 100% local. It's a major selling point on defense sites, nuclear sites (Cadarache), remote-area jobsites, or tunnels where video is banned or inoperable.
What's the exact cost, and is there a commitment?
€277 per month for our package offer (1 equipped crane + 10 wristbands for your workers). No commitment — activate for a short-term jobsite, stop when it's done. Same logic as renting construction equipment: you pay when you use it. This offer is limited to the first 100 jobsites.
